They rated it the 3rd best song of 438 entries in the Soft Rock category. Those of us who melt within the first few measures of Blown Away heartily agree: it's a chart-topper.

MiG is in Vancouver right now getting ready to star as lead male vocalist in the sensational and scintillating Burn the Floor. The show opens April 13 and he'll be bringing the curtain - and the house - down April 18. The shows hits Toronto April 22 to May 1, and West Palm Beach, Florida May 4 to May 9. MiG owns the stage in Burn the Floor with his combination of smooth vocals and impressive dance moves. His performance offers an attractive musical complement to the soul that will be on full display when his second album is released.

MiG's music, MiG's soul - photo by Cammy D.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 296px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5-eyKomiaU4flFqETdHg1Jwmc8X14xr9sOJ_cAwe4sfkgwUHbNZFNEo0SX4IoPw1-lUyUf-5udXJjKS5xsIgUrqIFmIDxfBhGr2B4ePvVoI3DpxbtQEwllPQ_Kg-A3kwZxMl8ypkUe5r6/s400/MiGs+Soul+4-9-10+Blog+-+Cammy+133.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458384957901842002" />

People who have seen MiG on stage in Burn the Floor or We Will Rock You sing the praises of his professionalism and magnetism in major productions. Others who have seen MiG on Rockstar: INXS or have seen him up close and personal as he sings his own music say it can't get any better. Some people have been fortunate enough to see him shine in both worlds.

Regardless of whether you prefer one type of performance over the other, you'll get the best of MiG on his album. It will be just you and MiG, and this musical appetizer - the Blown Away e-card - will leave you starving for the main course. MiG Ayesa, who grew up in Australia and launched his music career in Oz, comes from New York City to star as the male vocalist in the stirring celebration of dance.

Aussies had numerous opportunities to see MiG excel during his early years in live gigs, theater, movies and television. After leaving Australia, MiG Ayesa became a household name in the U.K. after his starring role in We Will Rock You. He then won hearts and minds as a finalist in the CBS-TV show Rockstar: INXS, displaying a stunning ability to master both rock and ballads. MiG cemented his popularity with his debut album, "MiG" (Universal/Decca), and performances in the U.K., Asia Pacific, Australia and the U.S.

And then there was Burn the Floor on Broadway...MiG lit up the stage like a New Year's Eve fireworks display. Even those who have virtually worn out MiG's album, watched Rockstar: INXS, and have seen him at live gigs multiple times, were amazed by MiG in Burn the Floor. He has a way of raising the bar when you think the bar has reached maximum elevation.

When Aussies get reacquainted with MiG on stage, they'll see a new side of him. MiG has grown, even beyond the impressive talent people were accustomed to seeing. He's a true professional, and strives to deliver an outstanding performance, every night, every song. He succeeds.

Part of the growth comes from MiG directly...he has collaborated with proven artists and put in countless hours to enhance his skills. His voice is more consistent and controlled than before, yet packed with feeling. The feeling reveals the other aspect of growth. MiG has always been able to sing with expression because of his warm and caring nature, but now conveys even more feeling. He has found success in his career, yet has also experienced his share of broken promises and disappointments. MiG may not realize it, but some of that emotion and vulnerability comes through in his singing. It makes his performances even richer and more meaningful for audiences, and he connects with them on a whole new level.

MiG revealing more depth in his music
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 292px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1zsXGyWagxbsc-DRHHG1p0ZpaPSFWEfaqWicAnUkLqHXXyC9vHqzMS0F_76Nosy_erXhLjHm7uRKOba-8Cz-mL77BCZvmPCZrVidvEdU6Wos4UzOMlZ5tt3yQfqOg456ILc3puuuS3XXi/s400/MiG+Live+Gig+NYC+K.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440435977201724242" />

MiG has added polish and feeling to his performances, yet his magnetic personality has remained. He still has the fun sense of humor, the ready wit, and the warmth. Aussies will notice that quickly if they talk with him after a show. In spite of all the worldwide travel and bright lights, he's still grounded.

MiG's still fun, still grounded - photo by Mary Beth
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 299px; height: 349px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWXL7kdiBVMS_XOT2lWIb-nYM1vorVDRDTiOM2O8Mwbj5piYfY4Beun32ssIO4EM27WO_3r9OAIkGme2q-xjTfHan12GSXdQXCz3uqlKgD3Xohi0KEMhxso4HI_mZM56hRLMcTM-BNPSgt/s400/Dancing+at+the+Canal+Room+NY+MB.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440435495030296050" />

For those lucky enough to get tickets for Burn the Floor, it will be a performance to remember. MiG will also put his talents on display in Hats Off! The History of Showstoppers and on the February 25 episode of So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Australia will recognize the familiar face, hear the familiar voice...yet see a whole new side of MiG that reaches more deeply and dazzles more brightly.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-21478254689773816362010-01-22T20:10:00.211-06:002010-01-29T20:59:47.818-06:00Sparks Fly in MiG Ayesa's Broadway DebutMiG Ayesa set the stage ablaze with a breakout Broadway debut in Burn the Floor. MiG seamlessly stepped into the role of star male vocalist in the torrid dance extravaganza beginning in early January at the Longacre Theater. He stoked the fire with impeccable vocals, a striking stage presence, and impressive dance moves.

The Broadway version of Burn the Floor featured some of the world's top dancers, the engaging Mary Murphy, the strong voice of Rebecca Tapia, and first-rate musicians. MiG blended with the outstanding cast, yet his charisma and exceptional talent stood out. As MiG proved in Rockstar: INXS and We Will Rock You, his versatility is dazzling. He excelled with a variety of musical styles. Burn the Floor amazed, with styles from the Samba to the Swing, from the Waltz to the Cha Cha.

The site of MiG's first Broadway show - The Longacre Theater
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 288px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9w9hz_MmiS0PLCeSZ9-YN8OwCXLssltpr7fuhRFfTzzg3VaNSW-9oprteajmpAAHrfUkWPnZpLK5ttRYA4lBSlNIv_2lyRWdbkNBWD7zPFcgyUeX5UfJL2anQ664lsQGRU4xoZQskPy0y/s400/Longacre+Theater+Signs+K+v2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431623917797557922" />

MiG sparkled in all numbers, yet some held particular appeal. He ignited the full house with The Dirty Boogie, showcasing a contemporary style and flair, and athletic dance moves. The stage came alive as standout vocals and dance flowed together into one steamy sea of talent.

The infectious and upbeat Magdalena was a big hit, as MiG mastered the song and revved up the crowd with an intense yet smooth delivery. He filled the stage with a remarkable presence and passion.

MiG between performances of Burn the Floor
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 275px; height: 358px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFYb5oQkLW4XeqaJpWqFMZpyLMXF4H6d87iSwiuYhcrwK82JdoM_pTIqRmQDntfobhEx-z0LydS3f-Be1R7cQR1QivjttDapkQbU-OlQeUZTuQcSwa83BrpKrEQID9Ws-2msm5HQsjGqpo/s400/Blog+Burn+the+Floor+Photo+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431624286611696978" />

Time stood still as MiG sang a captivating Burn for You, layered with yearning, angst and irresistible tenderness. There aren't many singers who can hold their own when volume and heavy instrumentals are stripped away, but MiG shines. He revealed even more depth of talent and emotion as he sang under the spotlight.

When energy and passion meet polish and precision, it's nothing short of perfection. MiG's dynamic performance in Burn the Floor created a buzz. It forged a promising path that many fans hope will include an enticing combination of both stage and live gigs.

MiG will join Burn the Floor as it goes on the road to Australia, beginning its run at The Palms at Crown, Melbourne, Victoria on February 20 and lasting through March 7. I saw the show on Broadway twice, and it wasn't enough. MiG is sensational in Burn the Floor, and the dancing and choreography are some of the best you'll ever see. MiG has given of his time, his creativity and his heart to help typhoon victims in the Philippines. MiG opened our eyes to the destruction and suffering through his video, blog and Web site, and spurred thousands to action through his inspiring song, United As One. As a result, Filipinos affected by Typhoon Ondoy and Typhoon Pepeng have received additional support from around the world.

Two million people were impacted by the typhoons, including tens of thousands who lost their homes. The damage however, isn't only financial. According to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), the psychological effects of the storm present a great concern. Thousands may be at risk of post-traumatic stress disorder from all they've had to endure. The danger is not limited to typhoon victims - rescuers and PNRC staff members have been affected by seeing the suffering firsthand. They've experienced stress from having to cope with a natural disaster of such magnitude. As of late October, more than 4,000 people had received psychosocial support from PNRC Social Services.

The outcry for help has not quieted...it has grown louder. MiG said he doesn't want typhoon victims to be forgotten, and by uniting our efforts, they won't be. Every time I hear MiG's song United As One, it's just as poignant and motivating as the first time I heard it. It has the power to heal and inspire others to give of themselves. Consider joining the effort. Visit mig-music to see how you can help.

As the struggles in the Philippines continue, I'm reminded of the importance of the "Thanks" in Thanksgiving. I thank God for family, friends and freedom. I'm also thankful for a place to live, safety, health, food, a job, and countless other blessings. There are so many people in the Philippines, U.S. and other countries that don't have some of those things.

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or whether you don't, take a few moments to reflect on all you have. Be thankful for not only the people you love, but the people who love you. Think not of what you haven't yet achieved, but what you have.

This Thanksgiving I'm also thankful that I know a special person named MiG Ayesa, whose tender and giving heart has brought an abundance of help to people who so desperately need it.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-26973137530390876942009-10-19T17:57:00.066-05:002009-10-23T21:31:15.704-05:00MiG Ayesa Shining a Light on Ondoy ReliefMiG Ayesa has given of his talent to support wonderful causes, and today there's a cause he's asking others to support - relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines. MiG was born in the Philippines, and although he moved to Australia when he was two, he returned many holidays to visit his family. MiG's love for the people of the Philippines makes this cause near and dear to his heart.

MiG performs at Philippine American Friendship Day in New Jersey in June - photo by Wanda
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi85CLkgAhCPabiB-leKNu0FlAV7MrASgsFBRs09TJPMi9gmkTnvZtm9SZBMORMdILChaqNtZEAusR7uQeMhoeWU5tuThNjGrBMdgfraJBIqYl9hwkPAK9O2yzBRYG0aALSJJCAG5O71GXg/s400/MiG+Fil+Am+Friendship+Day+2009+Straight+on+Singing+Wanda+smaller.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394511419912278466" />
Filipinos have endured the onslaught of two storms - Typhoon Ondoy on September 26, and Typhoon Parma on October 3. Storm-ravaged areas brace for another challenge, as Typhoon Lupit approaches and is expected to reach landfall in a few days with 109-mile per hour winds. Consider these facts:

More than 2 million people affected by flooding. 80 percent of Manila flooded. 189,000 still in evacuation centers. More rainwater than Hurricane Katrina. A second hit by Typhoon Parma that destroyed 55,000 homes. A death toll from the two storms that nears 1,000.

The destruction is massive, the situation desperate, but hope lives. It lives in the relief workers who carry on in spite of weariness and lack of supplies. It lives in the parents who stay strong in the face of almost insurmountable odds, to keep the light flickering in their children's eyes. It lives in neighbors, who share what little they have with others.

It lives in you.

It lives in you with every prayer, every dollar and every moment you take to spread the word. MiG has given us a way to make a difference through his labor of love - a song he composed called United As One. He wrote the song to honor relief workers and inspire hope among those impacted by the storm. MiG didn't record it at a topnotch recording studio...he recorded it in his home. He did it all himself, singing and playing all the instruments (Tagalog translation by Freddie Santos). United As One is gorgeous, and even more beauty lies in its sincerity and simplicity, and in its potential.

MiG created a video of United As One that reveals scenes of the destruction (with assistance from Shax Siasoco). He also provided an e-card to share.

MiG's E-card for United As One

To listen to the song, see the video, get the e-card or read about how you can help, check out this page on mig-music.com.

When we unite as one, hope will live on.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-27331963100345887132009-10-06T21:56:00.240-05:002009-10-10T01:48:43.335-05:00Magical MiG Memories Countdown - #2 and #1Today's the day - revealing the top 2 in the countdown of the Top 10 Magical MiG Memories, in honor of Team MiG's four years of supporting MiG Ayesa. They never fail to come through with great food, terrific customer service and an appealing ambiance.

Having a ball onstage at Market Days - photo by Cammy D.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJknWdCw_pjCMkKyb6qSQZRg0zte4Q_tOBHtvY46R2GoEHteppNTp4-XkEf4yctxXchvHtS6yYpM9tWALCGQOXqTylI3flWvZ6zJZ-bG5bpsEyrYCrKrIHYvmrbBLKBKBzJqr7VUrZvodg/s400/2+BMCW+Mkt+D+Cammy+668.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390771887480465074" />
MiG's radio interview on WCKG 105.9 FM added extra excitement to the weekend, because he sang one of his most gorgeous originals, One Sunset at a Time, live. It was the first chance people had to hear the song on the radio. Based on the quality of the voice, jazzy melody and deep lyrics, it should be just the beginning. The words paint such a beautiful, lasting picture in one's mind, and the message inspires perseverance and a quiet strength.

There was nothing quiet about Team MiG and friends this weekend, however. A large group from Team MiG traveled from various points across the country to partake in the fun. We street teamed at every turn, telling others about upcoming MiG events and passing out drop cards from Universal/Decca with a download of MiG's She Loved.

Singing with expression at 3rd Coast Cafe - photo by Cammy D.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 279px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Q58xXPu4umtMS8LBQ2bixPMa2SpxXxFmKNVr8Bq7DHx5H8lYTB9aaXFHNMIZ_t3xvabKu1BeFg4j5Q9m90pezjtVkjb3CiCsRERhOecyUY-mvR0gB9FOY83CS3xtANW2LsYybTO6IsVl/s400/2+BMCW+3c+Cammy+278.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390773576573739362" />

Everyone basked in the glow of spending time with MiG and each other, and of hearing MiG sing his heart out in Chicago. Due to the number of gigs and some boisterous accompaniment he had to sing over on one occasion, the last night MiG wasn't quite as confident in his high notes. But never fear...Team MiG and friends came to the rescue. We love his music and know many of the words, so sang the high notes for MiG. We laughed together and had a blast, knowing it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable weekend.

And the #1 Magical MiG Memory is....drumroll please.....

#1 - New York Gigs - August 2009
I could have chosen any of MiG's performances as #1, because there's something unique and special about each one. Regardless of whether it's a massive crowd bursting into the aisles, or an intimate, mesmerized group, MiG leaves it all on stage. He takes no prisoners, and everyone in the room is without a doubt a prisoner of his undeniable musical skill and engaging personality.

New York vaulted to the top as the best of the best. The week brought everything we could have yearned for from a musical standpoint - intimate gigs, a MiG jamfest with other gifted musicians, and a riveting MiG performance at the Pinoy Dance Showdown. We didn't want any of the shows to end.

Making music with the boys at Eight Mile Creek
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 307px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg47cpo6B7tvQTLj6cyP7SaVNHeWS-hJ9QJRebZNDlG0bB1heT5xOKsiQUTzwConisjPga4or4o-Z9fZeBXZjcBFnm6OaHlAbvi6edKTeaiwPhpQkQwti9qV6slgay5OcuE_-Rvztu_MSjI/s400/1+NY+K+IMG_4110.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390793848726572034" />
Lost in the music
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 296px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg13hDxT6TQormJCixl3Oa_HWfTq48nH25-8Ia_1wjDvkelmfXSb26pArZbG_ctBXfaxaP5DXtJrlqe5joSUU6t3bz65aSUGn-5AZFHTM3HowvHRbMv1MseFb8JfeiKme-_PCrSTLE5XHpi/s400/MiG+K+Blog+IMG_4212.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390797729045248866" />

Once again, people came from throughout the U.S. to support MiG. This time we were also fortunate to enjoy the company of others from different backgrounds. Aussie charm was in full force at Eight Mile Creek, and Pinoys extended kindness and exuded talent at the Pinoy Dance Showdown. We also made a new friend from Singapore who was visiting the country and came to see MiG perform.

The trip was a bit less hectic than some previous MiG weekends. It offered the chance to soak it all in and appreciate each show. Sometimes you hear the most in the quiet moments. One thing that was impossible to miss was MiG's thoughtfulness. A scheduled gig was canceled, so those who traveled a long way to see MiG could have experienced disappointment and the cost of changing flights. MiG set up a new gig to replace the canceled show. Not many artists would take that into consideration and make such an effort. MiG asked for song requests and spent quiet time with us. He opened his heart, and that's why he has ours'.

The New York gigs opened my eyes even more to who MiG is. I knew he already possessed an embarrassment of riches, from singing to playing keyboard, to dancing and acting. I marveled at the entertaining way MiG communicated his comments as a celebrity judge at the dance competition, and was captivated by his musical prowess as he jammed with fellow musicians. I saw some completely new sides of MiG that left me speechless and extremely impressed.

Another reason the New York trip ended in such a lofty position is because it was the culmination of all that's come before. MiG is closer to his dream than ever. Living "One Sunset at a Time" has been the right approach. MiG's perseverance and quiet strength have brought him to the brink of major success, and I believe with all my heart that the time is nearing for him to achieve it.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-33743550381508657702009-10-05T00:20:00.110-05:002009-10-06T18:45:03.986-05:00Magical MiG Memories Countdown - # 4 and #3We're getting close - read on to see #4 and #3 in the countdown of the Top 10 Magical MiG Memories, in honor of Team MiG's four years of supporting MiG Ayesa. The top memories shared so far are:

#10 - Rockstar: INXS
#9 - Cleveland Gigs
#8 - Team MiG Photo Shoot in LA
#7 - QUEEN Rock & Symphonic Spectacular
#6 - We Will Rock You Tour and Online Community Project
#5 - The Release of MiG's Debut Album

Let's bring on the next two!

#4 - Rockstar Supernova Tour - Chicago
The Rockstar Supernova Tour made a stop in Chicago, and Team MiG showed up in full force. MiG was in Chicago for about a week, so we "street teamed" with a vengeance. Nancy from Team MiG set up a few extra gigs so Chicago could see MiG in action. MiG was joined on the tour by his dear friend from Australia, Darryl Beaton, who is an awesome musician and great guy.

The day of the Rockstar show, a few of us ventured over to the Park West to explore the venue. The Supernova tour bus was parked at the curb, so we asked if we could check it out. We got the green light, so boarded the bus and looked around. When we came out, we were shocked to see MiG, but probably not as shocked as MiG was to see us emerge from the Supernova bus!

The show was simply fabulous, and MiG enthralled us from beginning to end. To get a little tour of your own of the Rockstar Supernova Bus, and to hear MiG sing Wrapped Around Your Finger (on his debut album) that night, watch this entertaining and humorous video that MiG made. Later MiG and Darryl rocked the house at Howl at the Moon - they were on fire! Those dueling pianos will never be the same.

MiG ready to rock
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 302px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitCR9zdS97SOU-Ye2oU4YxJ2L3xEBqvzSK-N0F7MtvnRREWSSzFUig4XNCj6LPQZRN6s0AW4CHq6DPsddBOtF2ydhAUZzf3VwB7TsFLo0GUABCY6NL4_vSJclcVdVm1JyZij6WssOKuvDj/s400/Blog+Howlin+at+the+Moon+w+MiG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388991622684042290" />

Darryl and MiG after melting the keys at Howl at the Moon
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 319px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9LAcvWFYYBb-tNk8WxT8abwM_A3MWGxP7Z0GdtxZAMrYwqRH35tdSrZ3pwbU1JVwSg24JosU9bJy4S1X7yIiMSQNVYja0AkHPo-cu_ZMAxhRPNV8Nh0Red1WJ76veT0YXyouGjDtUiMnl/s400/Blog+Darryl+and+MiG+Howl+at+Moon+Chicago.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388990600903018162" />

Our street teaming kicked into high gear the next day. Speaking of the moon, I asked for it...and got it. Toni, Mary Beth and I got MiG a gig at the AVP Beach Volleyball Tournament for two days. As MiG and the boys searched for a power source, we were hangin' at the beach....FREEZING! I was so cold my teeth were chattering, and I ended up being sick for two weeks. I must say it was quite worth it, however! The second day brought in an audience of 7,000 people, and a radio station interviewed MiG, so it was rewarding to know the street teaming paid off.

Chillin' at the AVP Beach Volleyball Tourney
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 354px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKfbZiY-vC68dM6INtD563Gs50Wv6oN9rhIMtlVNeDv2D3vO4IIXVIs75X8AdSTFsNPcMBjlqfxDAI8lNZDMsToyMCg_XQPa5duP2BOW7RxeedK9XNDm8teBRFCgrEpIsGI2l2CzFUK1Tm/s400/4+Rockstar+Tour+-+Chicago+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388992742538884722" />

#3 - Canal Room, New York City
We were thrilled when MiG announced his first U.S. concert would be at The Canal Room in New York. The thought of a concert with all MiG - all the time proved too much to resist. A big group from Team MiG converged on the city, with some traveling across the country. It was a pleasure to meet face-to-face with friends from Team MiG and MiGNation. We made the most of our time in the Big Apple by going on shopping sprees for purses, having lunch in Little Italy, and ogling the mouth-watering pastries in shop windows.

The night of the Canal Room gig, we piled in Cheryl's car, and much to our surprise, managed to squeeze in about nine of us. As we passed a police officer, he smiled, probably knowing we were harmless and our only crime was laughing too hard.

We arrived at the Canal Room, and were excited to meet MiG's family. They were all so welcoming and such lovely people. As the concert approached, The Canal Room was electric. MiG lit up the place with his stage presence, talent and personality. We became the Team MiG paparazzi - snapping photos non-stop. (MiG has become accustomed to that!) MiG put on an outstanding show we couldn't forget. We considered ourselves lucky to be in attendance for the debut of MiG's original She Loved. He asked if we liked it...uh...YES! After I heard the line "she loved walking in the rain," it was over. Little did we know that the song would make MiG's first album and that his video would end up on MTV-Asia's playlist. Check out videos of two other standout songs from the show, Life on Mars (also on MiG's album) and Lola (videos by Donna).

MiG stayed for one of the longest Meet & Greets on record, with a line stretching across the room. He was incredibly thoughtful to devote his time to talking to each person, signing autographs and posing for even more photos. Cammy's husband, Doug, went above the call of duty by taking countless group shots with MiG, and having multiple cameras dangling from his arms! The trip ended much too quickly, but we still smile about the special night we shared.

Tomorrow #2 and #1 will be revealed!

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-89546216180361491812009-10-04T14:08:00.086-05:002009-10-04T16:50:31.222-05:00Magical MiG Memories Countdown - #6 and #5The countdown continues in the Top 10 Magical MiG Memories, in honor of Team MiG's four years of supporting and promoting MiG Ayesa. Check out the Team MiG Facebook Fan Page to see a photo album with selected pictures from the Top 10 Magical MiG Memories. So far the countdown is:

#10 - Rockstar: INXS
#9 - Cleveland Gigs
#8 - Team MiG Photo Shoot in LA
#7 - QUEEN Rock & Symphonic Spectacular

Onward and upward....

#6 - We Will Rock You Tour and Online Community Project
As the star attraction of the We Will Rock You - Asia Pacific Tour, MiG jetted to South Africa for rehearsals, and then began an almost year-long tour. MiG gained legions of fans as he wowed crowds in New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. It presented a wonderful opportunity for MiG, and we were happy that people in the Asia Pacific could get introduced to the same incredible person and performer that we knew. At the same time, it was important to keep MiG's existing fans in the U.S., Philippines, U.K., Australia, Canada and other countries connected for all those months. It also gave us another way to promote MiG.

MiG in We Will Rock You - Asia Pacific Tour
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 283px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy5AqJolUm58nlUIJ3aLTd6OfPMPMin6sSCCJIgFF9Z0cAcNvA3nmopuWbr5XHM3z4qbSFf62F5o6OKBVsIoLn2kcB7PCERl4jlTCJO5l-5QoYQn91YRbL-3VepNGV8XluI61AWdZ7UzHM/s400/6+WWRY+MiG+Group+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388863652450303906" />

MiG during the We Will Rock You tour - photo by Su & JC (special thanks to Fuchsia)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 313px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhEchM793fSboRqgvTfJArvxkSsFx398y-K4Lf-EbUiyGYmNa-LxgIMkwBXdyaYTIrIf9ZzVT5Bx6_zgLrJq15oIPAGmSsc8bWCv6Bm0BmEXd3cEWoU3frn_MIZqWZgK8cVFjnDV0SU5Fx/s400/6+WWRY+MiG+Su+and+JC+Fuchsia.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388864073647204930" />

Nicole and Davyd from Aussie Queens (a Queen fan site) and I launched an online community project to include major MiG fan sites. It offered a great chance to bring everyone together. MiG kindly agreed to provide updates, which included a letter, radio interview, and videos. The ultimate video involved fans. We asked each fan group to submit a question for MiG. While at his hotel in Hong Kong, MiG created a video and took great care in answering every question with such warmth and humor. I was blown away. I shouldn't have been, because MiG strives for excellence in everything he does. If you watch MiG's video with answers to fans' questions, you'll be impressed too.

#5 - The Release of MiG's Debut Album
MiG had a dream of becoming a recording artist, and we anxiously waited for that dream to become a reality. The news that he'd be working with a world-class team and recording at such places as Abbey Road like the Beatles did, whipped us into a frenzy. MiG was so deserving of that support and collaboration. We chomped at the bit for a chance to listen to MiG's impeccable vocals and unparalleled emotion on a CD, iPod and the radio. Even more than that, we were ecstatic that MiG would have within his grasp something he'd worked tirelessly to achieve. After encountering a couple delays along the way, MiG persevered. It couldn't happen for a more special person. The CD, "MiG," was released in the Philippines and Australia before being unveiled in the U.S. and Canada (you can get it on Amazon or in the Store on MiG's Web site). The wait was too much to bear...but thanks to Rah at MiGCentral and our friends at MAP (MiG Ayesa Pinoy Fans), we could get our hands on the first release.

The album featured a masterful collection of classic songs elevated by MiG's talent and interpretation. I was amazed by how brilliantly MiG struck the perfect balance between passion and control in every note. The addition of three MiG originals, She Loved, You and I, and Could It Be (U.S. version), made the album priceless. As wonderful as the classics were, the originals showcased MiG's immeasurable talent, creativity and beautiful soul. Yesterday I shared:

#10 - Rockstar: INXS
#9 - Cleveland Gigs

And now to unveil the next two:

#8 - Team MiG Photo Shoot in LA
Not long after Rockstar: INXS ended, two of Team MiG's founders, Laura and Nancy, had the Team MiG gang at the edge of our seats. They piqued our interest with a surprise, saying they'd make "the big reveal" on a certain night. The night was upon us, and a large portion of the Team MiG crew scrambled to get online for the announcement. The news that MiG had done a photo shoot in Los Angeles had rabid MiG Ayesa fans reeling. In addition to having all those MiG photos to enjoy, we were over the top with excitement about having all that new material to use for promotional online banners and buttons.

Here are a few shots from MiG's photo shoot to feast your eyes upon...

Looking good in leather
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 348px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjngtH5bcZwXRx7IDYYdEtWj5j_9v9q8KHH4nWZJFQZI9LaKpnDnf21Vz9gKTgSIapJ4swQMVT2ABP5ZWR6CAjILXqSc0iPLGde1-RSRFY8FfLDFWGcaXsxvv83mTsxRgK4AMhkoPMOIFWe/s400/MiG+TM+Leather+v2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388545213730147282" />

Apparently MiG is ignoring the No "Smokin'" sign...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 260px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnipB_KpYPbQYDJASru7AjKUBr9UYHwXcFuxlDuyQ9V6jl4WLNkxLEKq_h8-wbOLT5F0UH3IGjTN3mur2aFStMmZ2QsogFipW8-9zqfM-IexylnB7hh9iZh8vCDQYQfCNEzmcUpVcxxL2J/s400/Blog+TM+BD+Smokin+MiG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388545765487862642" />

Posing with a mysterious statuesque woman
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 260px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBWazHGiJnV3GH0odA0DWj71_4LUafn2sDoGScRsGGOpEo5YE3gkEQyO6eggwr41EWwEfHPlHPeCL0JOzQzYiDFa-5oeEDKT_727FXupbD6E0Kf7zNEN30waQay16oggxAsXX-qnwb2MUT/s400/Blog+TM+Photo+Shoot+MiG+Statue.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388550726077471106" />

#7 - QUEEN Rock & Symphonic Spectacular
During the last two summers, MiG has performed in these popular concerts at picturesque locations throughout the United Kingdom. Birthdays often bring thoughts of gifts, and this one is no exception. The gifts we've received haven't come covered with shiny wrapping paper or adorned with a bow. They've come in the form of friendships we've grown, and of a supremely talented guy who dreams of taking the world's breath away with his music.

Team MiG was born when MiG Ayesa stepped on stage for CBS-TV's Rockstar:INXS. In the four years since then, MiG has made many at Team MiG feel as though birthdays come much more than once a year. The heart beneath the rockstar makes every day of work worth it. We've been having a ball, and MiG has made it special.

To mark our 4th Birthday, let's revisit some of those special memories. Countless moments stand out...but I'll limit it to 10. Through October 6, I'll count down to reveal the Top 10 Magical MiG Memories. Here we go....

#10 - Rockstar: INXS
Rockstar: INXS has to be in the Top 10. It helped bring MiG and everyone from Team MiG together. During all those weeks, it was our mission to vote for MiG with reckless abandon, and we heaved a collective sigh of relief every time he survived for the next show. I remember being impressed with most of the people who considered MiG their favorite. MiG had a way of attracting kind, intelligent, talented and giving individuals. Those are traits they have in common with MiG.

#9 - Cleveland, Ohio Gigs
MiG hit the road on a national Hard Rock Cafe Tour with a stop in Cleveland. After one night at the Hard Rock, he followed it up with a night at McCarthy's. MiG took the time to greet everyone before and after the shows, and posed for pictures with people of all ages.

MiG's performance at McCarthy's was spellbinding. He treated us to two fabulous originals from his debut album "MiG" (Decca/Universal) - You and I and Could It Be. I still can't get enough of them.

MiG joking around at the Hard Rock - photo by Mary Beth
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 371px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUXhtcM6_05yxGHA0cra1onbaMY6GIeGpHuZ6SPiseCcta271sgptQqmgu7GB3LcTrk3HqJWCyUKvG1TIVl4bOv7HEkkCjeX9g-hoiYrakk_e9_04YeScbyhhOL6Jo0ix2qtqbNWCnNRVz/s400/Blog+MB+MiG+HRC+Water.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388232173367787570" />

Singing with heart and soul
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 308px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVRFn1GQh68R-NpsSTR-mREoakls_LmRtUmOMLxhrrVI5Gcvr1b08beso3xkmGO7ADbbnJwpl87aB-33zKcWzgUwx5n5A7zGXbBT4PfLjeZTnIbdMJNPWi60VUcxdrs5qWRzTQ2xWmNpor/s400/Blog+Cleveland+MiG+4+Kay_edited-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388232420243318642" />

Our street teaming exploits for MiG in Cleveland amused some people, as our stealth operations focused on posting flyers for MiG's show in the most creative of locations. The weekend was one to remember.

Tomorrow...Memories #8 and #7!

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-9758395443538584412009-09-17T23:05:00.066-05:002009-09-18T23:05:52.182-05:00Cold Hands, Warm Heart for MiG Ayesa and UK FansMiG Ayesa heated up the crowd on a frigid night in Leeds with a peak performance that ended the summer season of the QUEEN Rock & Symphonic Spectacular. MiG starred with Kerry Ellis, Mazz Murray and Ricardo Afonso at Harewood House on September 4. The group left it all on stage and had a ball. The crowd forgot about their chattering teeth and shivering for a while, in spite of the sinking temperatures. Check out these videos of One Vision and We Will Rock You and you'll see why.

MiG gets the crowd into it
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 373px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmEMdcJ-vuD-f4QIKKFjIVN7Gf6rBNC0fOQbNi_q0kDUa_WXdA-6ABmJupedj0HwHZ7WZisPGTkbGIhVb-FjBjjco-ldk4dM6CeSHEWgMrlLbK35O3vrqeh_Ls7-DEPmY7sZjIHL4fRjxX/s400/MiG+Queen+Spectacular+Harewood+House+from+Wend+9-4-09+arms+out.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383010385659575442" />

MiG Ayesa always warms a crowd, but on this night he also thoroughly warmed the hearts of two people in the audience. Wend, who is a member of Team MiG, and her husband, Geoff, went to see MiG and experienced an evening they won't forget. It started with a riveting performance by MiG that oozed with personality, as one can witness by Bicycle Race. One of the best ways to tell you how MiG's thoughtfulness touched Wend and Geoff is to share Wend's own words, photos and videos of the evening. Read on....

Wend's Account of the Special Evening
MiG rocked. It was a bittersweet performance as it was the last summer Queen Spectacular of 2009 so emotions were running high, which made the show even more special. All the singers seemed to make the most of their last evening together and blew the audience out of the water! In my opinion, it was the best show of the summer (the coldest, but the best)! And YES, it was soooo cold! MiG was really feeling it. Even with the several layers of clothing he had on, he still said he was "bloody freezing." At the end of singing I Want to Break Free, he included his words of "and I wanna warm up too..." just classic!

MiG does his best to warm up
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 325px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx6sigl0f986s7E3FucZBRDjsN3lJLI6AixYXmkSWKtGCQvmz0Y8ai6mkSNekSVBGt2THVutUT0r-bVJcrKhwY4CyPE0LIQaV0aJzEeBQBxj2bMxjTnGGmES_iYjfobc1Nu9ICBJjfiNUo/s400/BLOG+1+MiG+Queen+Spectacular+Wend+crossed+arms.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383007039232864962" />

Our evening was made even more special and unforgettable as Geoff was celebrating his 40th birthday, and MiG went out of his way to help the celebrations along. Anne-Louise had a fabulous cake arranged with a picture of Geoff and MiG at Clumber Park last year on it. We were able to get some great photos of MiG and Geoff holding the cake, while a few "old age" comments were being batted about. MiG continued to carry on the "40" theme by making "40" signs with his hands. After making an announcement on behalf of the park owner, he made one of his own, wishing his good friend Geoff a Happy 40th Birthday.

MiG and Geoff show off their smiles and the birthday cake
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitB08ldEQGgj_kBu2vjKoZNief-8QX3ZAHgkqBNQwhi6NEn80xelvMemWE0Bq2w05eXi0HQ7pkFulYcQ3GUBnL_VvnYDDwLlU0qVsPkbR4W4PJxhauZO_K8bIi99AcOwl1esFiDbGkBW6q/s400/Blog+2+MiG+and+Geoff+Queen+Spectacular.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383008231091770562" />

MiG and Wend brave the cold
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7KO48QQpw81lii49IbAEqsBws1b2-bFZbH8i6nb96wJBqzSkhfMs6If_vOlScZ6RcTgVTyaiSA6NU6WJaO7vd_MIMTSCUmoJqRhb8zMHzQJGnbfjwAXEA5hrQClOoqhaAOI7RIVL94kq6/s400/Blog+3+MiG+and+Wend.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383009004249932738" />

The whole evening was just a dream come true. After our first two nights of MiG Ayesa at The Australian and Eight Mile Creek, to our delight, MiG played another night at Eight Mile. The previous gig included MiG and what he proclaimed his band of merry men in a jam session that rocked our socks (or high heels) off. The second night at Eight Mile featured MiG alone with his keyboard, and it couldn't have been more special.

Up close and personal with MiG at Eight Mile Creek
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 296px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUwUCSYCXrWCkyYvX9gVFfX5wRp-00IfyyQQxOnLvr5rPpuqD25B876VJN9SRKMNUSac7Ai2mrnArVDwdmI45kyByIrjuEXosPIRvB-z6v6UdY7YtrW62vnSbtiarcTXwcGXBeaz58-REe/s400/MiG+K+Blog+IMG_4212.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375256636753486418" />

He's got personality plus
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 337px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcp51xZcfrUY5OqhOMRsL4FHPfSJ7PhugUJmOdmTW07rf7aJu8jduA7jJvnb8MKb2yKn2fm0zzWS_RiQgUJOCWNvy597tfCO23wIBn0JEL4DaMbext4ZOPXTVUL0WEmRy1nv2olEctcjYb/s400/Blog+MiG+K+IMG_4208.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375256164821611714" />

The intimate setting presented the perfect environment, and MiG's magnetism and professionalism had everyone eating out of his hand. He hadn't performed the song for about 10 years, so we felt as though we'd won the lottery. All evening, MiG's seemingly effortless vocals and versatility impressed the crowd, and almost presented a challenge - is there any song he can't do?!?

Mr. Versatile
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 305px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjefkpEEnW7vmBNFsDWOekAUPSYsl_SBxq18aQuEhmHg-9UFxaYVuU313Z5KaafwPRflmsSU0NSNxhmMfcqDIF28qt3dEnttDPOZCOByHzSxf8fOIihE0M5m3F-wK7XPNoaQlDtpat4ZfHq/s400/MiG+K+IMG_4203_Revised.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379637609466918882" />

Giving it all he's got
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 311px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPTtjohHtlZkQTnjOThxsufCCeGbrsItD9LjhSo5ccmGGZ-1ytM33MaWuPj6u3GNpc76dozObw-Tb6fzVeeoYO6mBSuvSZ9KA7OesNrLKH-ydo4erip8QgF_j0AB48qR1KCtn8AhUZbusL/s400/MiG+K+IMG_4165+smaller.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379626748684887122" />

He invited us to make requests, so one of us obliged and asked for A Song For You. I can't imagine it ever sounding more beautiful. Somehow MiG managed to come through every time, regardless of what we requested. He even pulled off Without You by Nilsson, La Bamba and Donna. Some of his bandmates from Thursday night popped in for a few musical interludes, including Luke and Mike.

The Dynamic Duo - MiG and Luke
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 294px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhulQNAENNDyYD8YXx07gvWIM_fRAmELWBCwFj0oqWwoxGsWItWEpo975TotDqdRw1ZRWJ_eirrhODM0yLbmoXtGguAVgRcRQ56_EgrCkOcRtTpel8pWVAEhIBMFXIeWeT-W6ZJwV4OaSkD/s400/MiG+K+IMG_4224+Smaller.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379623212213983394" />

Much to our dismay, the night was ending, but not before MiG flashed an endearing smile for pictures, and signed photos for those who couldn't make the trip to New York. In all the time I've known MiG, no matter how weary he may be after a night of performing, he still takes the time to connect with those who come to support him. To see a photo album of MiG during our weekend in New York, visit the Team MiG Facebook fan page and become a fan!

For the last event of the weekend, MiG took on the duties of celebrity judge for GMA Pinoy TV's Pinoy Dance Showdown in Bayonne, New Jersey. The competition featured young, talented hip hop dancers. A sincere thank you to Grace for her thoughtfulness, and for stopping to visit us before the show. We greatly appreciated her kindness and enjoyed the show immensely. TV viewers around the world could also enjoy the performances, because GMA Pinoy TV taped the event to broadcast it to a worldwide audience. The competition was intense and exciting, yet the highlight for us was none other than MiG Ayesa. He exhibited a talent for effectively evaluating the dance competition and offering clever, entertaining and helpful comments as a judge.

MiG took his turn on stage as a celebrity performer and was accompanied by Luke Dolahenty. MiG sent shockwaves through the crowd with a rocking and radio-ready original called To Whom It Must Concern. I've heard the song before on MiG's MySpace and his site mig-music.com, but MiG nailed it and hit a new level that made my heart pound. The acoustics didn't enable us to pick up some of the sound on video, but take my word for it - it was SMOKIN.' Those who dug the way MiG rocked it on Rockstar: INXS will be all over this song. Check out the video of To Whom It Must Concern. I give one rousing vote for adding the track to MiG's next album. The lyrics are incredibly creative and gripping, and it's got a catchy sound with a good beat. The performance ended the weekend in New York with a bang.

MiG's live shows rock this world. It's not just the energy, the rich tone, or the smooth delivery. It's not just the sense of humor, charm, or the way he expresses himself so you hang on every note, anxiously awaiting what’s coming next. There's something else that's difficult to put into words. Perhaps it can best be described in this way....MiG's performance locks people in, and when they meet him, he throws away the key. His performances amaze an audience, and after spending time with MiG, there's a new light in their eyes. MiG is the most loving person I know, and that makes an immediate impact. He energizes and makes people feel more alive - not only through the incredible music he shares, but through his sincerity and warmth. It's personal, it's lasting, and it's a gift MiG gives to everyone he meets.

It's a gift you get to unwrap every time you see MiG, and rather than losing its worth over time, it only grows in value.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-66483852652359645442009-08-28T20:52:00.163-05:002009-09-04T19:35:17.872-05:00MiG Ayesa LIVE in New York - Part 1I consider myself fortunate to have seen MiG Ayesa perform live many times since his popular days in We Will Rock You and on CBS-TV's Rockstar: INXS, but now MiG Ayesa has completely outdone himself. MiG pulled off a whirlwind week of performances in New York City and New Jersey, and this time left me speechless. Thank goodness blogs don't require speaking! I'll give you some insight into the adventure, and maybe you'll understand what makes MiG's fans count the days until MiG's next performance, video and album.

The first night began with MiG at The Australian, a hotspot at 20 W. 38th St. in New York City. The food was fabulous and the service even better. Matt and the rest of the team went out of their way to make our visit a special one. MiG was testing out a new keyboard, but the headset didn't detract from the performance in any way. MiG was his usual fun and friendly self, and hung out with us between sets. He asked if we had any requests and treated us to songs ranging from Piano Man to Buses and Trains, from Maybe I'm Amazed to Unchained Melody. I'm completely hooked on his original music, so was particularly fond of the beautiful message and imagery of One Sunset at a Time, the irresistible sweetness and vulnerability of Blown Away, and the heart-wrenching She Loved from his debut album. Some fun-loving patrons joined MiG to belt out You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', which proved quite entertaining!

It's a guy thing - singing and dancing to You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 303px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiP3ManJDqltEmICrty836BrLZPRWYUnqETRDirqnWLV3-VWbqO3lqgRxp45nt0o2IvH-46UwQSbxsqdWi9q424_HIT9KfNDPC_y6Sk_KrK6NErX-rJF-iF0_DSuQL2p6EtXTDz4_7nKymB/s400/MiG+K+IMG_4067.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375234406566169042" />

What's MiG up to? Whether in high heels or flip flops, one feels comfortable and right at home at Eight Mile Creek. The food is fantastic, and the fun never ends. Andrew, Luke and Sarah deserve kudos for going above and beyond with their outstanding service.

MiG surprised us by jammin' with - as he called them - his merry band of men. What a talented group of musicians. MiG's voice is stunning without any music, and when he's backed by a first-rate band, it's out of this world. The incredible jam session set the crowd on fire, and many danced the night away. I marveled at the talent on display. In spite of seeing MiG sing on numerous occasions, I was thoroughly impressed by this side of him. It felt as though I was getting to discover something new and wonderful. MiG has got to be the best kept secret in New York. I can keep a secret, but this one should be shouted from the rooftop of the Empire State Building.

Having a laugh during the jam session
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 294px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio7UwmNDT2O_olWV6T_e2Vw_I-FPGV0o8lXhsybV1pEumj9uIi8uXSNG_S9IU5Lwd1Jg7ktY1kvJ-ZEHKvy4K-K8V7e6e-Pi-Awdr7MrJP2KIaXkliHwMK6It7nZsVrHxMX0q_Pq3WeBRx/s400/Blog+MiG+K+IMG_4091_edited-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5376707051481261634" />

MiG in his element
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 258px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJKju3QjXU8iu0IjO3PomWoxiMxlRyqhk09_SjdqXiNSUDbN8yCjWFAseqDRLuS9NYXcSgOA8IXevHygdG92Q3dPNMY-x3aIQfrmYZIFPxPw4Igiu5Lc2bhighsAubU2WMyL1MoQMitweh/s400/MiG+K+cropped+IMG_4097_edited-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5377461787080136978" />

Keyboard magic
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 365px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtkUlID3iceJKMY5SlUrdXYn2LL5BoEQSPPz7Sse66YtviMdKsvGzT_alDyhRu_7W_LYRIiSvronLLhnJCvpmj4gC2y1xzTURDXQVi45hNlx4JwvVC_0HO794iA-UXDnxerHYNaPZyrr4K/s400/MiG+K+IMG_4100+reduced_edited-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5377458902097242338" />

The night flew by, but we could console ourselves knowing the next gig of the weekend was on the horizon. Robert Spencer, is being shown on PBS stations across the U.S., and viewers are in for a ground-breaking experience. The production infuses a newfound passion and emotion into George Friderich Handel's timeless oratorio, Messiah, that will captivate people of all ages. After having seen Messiah twice, I can attest that the creators and performers pay the utmost respect to the classic work and retain its essence, yet add new layers that enrich it.

Handel's Messiah Rocks is professional in every way. The powerful trio of stars, MiG Ayesa, LaChanze and J. Robert Spencer, deliver in every piece, and make you yearn for more. MiG Ayesa demonstrates an impressive range, a beautiful voice, and a stunning ability to convey emotion. LaChanze combines gorgeous vocals and stage presence, and Spencer displays a strong voice and an edge that adds drama.

Keith Lockhart and members of the Boston Pops are in prime form, and the ultra-talented rock band blends seamlessly with the orchestra and singers. The camera work in the video is artistic and interesting, and the lighting enhances the show's appeal. The adult and children's choirs provide a lovely touch.

Handel's Messiah Rocks features an ideal pairing of artist with mood and musical style. LaChanze radiates a joy in her singing, especially with the triumphant and uplifting He'll Come In Glory, and the smooth as honey How Beautiful. J. Robert Spencer raises the intensity level in He Is Fire, joining the soaring electric guitars to make an impact. He follows it up with a powerful He Was Despised that shakes one to the core.

MiG Ayesa reveals an impressive versatility. In the stellar and emotion-packed Behold the Lamb of God, Ayesa brings forth an exceptional voice and holds notes for lengthy periods as cascading children's voices join in. The piece surrounds and takes one's breath away, and Ayesa's ability to reach deep inside and express that feeling in his performance is amazing. He lets loose in King of Glory, unveiling a license to rock and raising audience participation to a peak before bringing the house down. If I had to choose one favorite in Handel's Messiah Rocks, it's King of Glory. More than any other song, it honors, connects, and celebrates Messiah's message of joy.

The wondrous voices of Ayesa, Spencer and LaChanze stand on their own, and also sound divine together. Their harmony provided an irresistible dimension, particularly with Ayesa and Spencer in Rejoice Reprise, and Ayesa and LaChanze in He Trusted You.

Handel's Messiah Rocks will embark on a U.S. nationwide tour in 2010, and it's well worth the price of admission. For at-home viewers, the Handel's Messiah Rocks DVD provides an excellent value. It features bonus interviews with Keith Lockhart, MiG Ayesa, LaChanze and J. Robert Spencer as well as behind-the-scenes footage. The DVD and CD will be released on Sony Classical and Integrity Music on October 6, 2009. I'm thrilled to have the DVD so I can watch it multiple times before the release date. Some local PBS stations will be scheduling an airdate for Handel's Messiah Rocks if they receive requests.

Handel's Messiah Rocks makes a lasting impression. The gifted creators and artists have given us a tremendous musical work. It has the potential to unite people of all ages, reminding us that even though we hold different viewpoints, our core beliefs may be very much the same.

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-64238919919129188022009-07-28T21:16:00.057-05:002009-07-31T23:42:37.264-05:00Nothing Dampens Spirit of MiG Ayesa, UK Queen FansOne of my favorite quotes is "Life isn't about surviving the storm, but learning to dance in the rain." MiG Ayesa and fans at the recent Queen Rock & Symphonic Spectacular in the United Kingdom accomplished just that - they braved blustery winds, rain, and a sea of mud to rock to the music of Queen. Standout performers MiG Ayesa, Kerry Ellis, Peter Eldridge and Gina Murray didn't flinch, delivering Queen favorites in stunning fashion. The orchestra and rock band followed suit and showcased their talent despite the dreary weather.

MiG in the UK at the Queen Symphonic Spectacular - photo by Wend 2008
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 375px; height: 293px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj67yOx4WEUk8cNPRiUF7Q__-BsBULBEpTkvCFoO0jqF3LSN3S6om02i_cWd4dh5DEyubeZQZWHgB2Z2BOaE_GFSPuAazgm_GQxyW-qWJsAH5bxEU3BxU-PnvMGuWWsWQ1pzJmR6eXv0nSl/s400/Blog+MiG+in+UK+by+WEND+81608.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5364445839478049986" />

What could've been a washout was transformed into a knockout by MiG, fellow musicians and the people from Northumberland and beyond. Rather than stay home and complain about the hideous weather, UK residents turned out in droves, adorned in a rainbow of raingear. The Northumberland Gazette captured the essence of the evening and posted a slideshow. After the show, fireworks punctuated the darkness over Alnwick Castle, celebrating a victory over the elements.

As I consider how those in the UK refused to let a little - no - a LOT of rain and foul weather get them down, I'm reminded of the spirit and strength of the people of the UK. They've shown those qualities many times, in many ways. They deserved an awesome show, fireworks, and a lot of admiration for their collective positive attitude and ability to slosh through any obstacle and maintain their sense of humor.

I'm also reminded of storms MiG Ayesa has encountered during his climb up the ladder in the music business. MiG has experienced plenty of sunny days by winning starring roles in first-rate theatrical productions, and earning the spotlight as an audience favorite on the CBS-TV show Rockstar: INXS. MiG also created a highly-regarded debut album (Universal/Decca) that's available on Amazon, and landed a plum role with the Boston Pops in Handel's Messiah Rocks (check your PBS schedule in the U.S. - this is being shown starting August 1 in certain markets). Yet along with those bright moments, MiG has seen his share of shadows.

MiG is no stranger to unfulfilled promises and disappointments. For some of us who know MiG and have seen the depth and breadth of his talent, it's not easy to watch some who aren't quite so talented or engaging take a prominent role in the spotlight. More people will get a chance to be electrified by one of MiG's performances and feel their hearts rip out after a touching ballad. More people will catch a glimpse of the wonderful person behind the music. Those who took in the festivities on the sun-drenched day were treated to MiG Ayesa in top form, and even some Tagalog - MiG style. Tagalog forms the basis of the official national language of the Philippines, Filipino, and MiG knows enough to be dangerous!

The duo of MiG Ayesa on vocals and keyboard, and Luke Dolahenty on guitar and backup vocals was fabulous. They're definitely a winning team, and have demonstrated an ability to deliver some awesome harmonies.

MiG getting ready for action - photo by Wanda
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxdPHlcUke6BgdGXUGmj8xGfnshaSQdeinefJfY459qJsIgVnFi7axmxruyBFJ5yKvcr5Oq12tw16m018LeMD418N2psD6XLGOn4BJROs0_Q3AYaqLY339vWbe3eC3GCAXTIUVdWSlFQL2/s400/MiG+Fil+Am+Friendship+2009+Setlist+Wanda+small.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354799728869397410" />

The set started with a MiG original, the thought-provoking One Sunset at a Time. The song captures listeners with a jazz flavor, and unforgettable lyrics and imagery that leave a deep and lasting impression. MiG followed it up with more originals, and then surprised the crowd with a tribute to Michael Jackson and a rendition of Human Nature. MiG revealed that Michael Jackson had been inspirational to him, and was a main reason he chose music as a career. In 2007, MiG had the opportunity to sing the songs of Michael Jackson when he performed in the UK in Thriller Live, the stage and video spectacular that celebrates Michael's illustrious musical career. MiG posted a video on his YouTube Channel as a tribute to MJ, which features MiG singing a beautiful version of She's Out of My Life during Thriller Live. You may also want to watch this rather fetching video MiG made in his hotel room while on tour for Thriller Live.

MiG continued the set with more of his creations, including To Whom It Must Concern. The catchy sound injected with angst is brilliant, and the words cut to the core. He followed it up with a rousing and rocking Nothin' You Do that sounds better than ever - check out the video of Nothin' You Do on the Team MiG YouTube Channel. I expected nothing less - because that's the kind of man he is. You know someone is genuine when you can predict exactly how they'll behave in a certain situation. And you know how MiG affects others when he was asked to return to next year's event before he even left. MiG's next performance never comes quickly enough, because people miss him as soon as they turn to leave. Fortunately we have some superb original music from MiG to listen to as we await the next performance.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Kay
Team MiG GlobalTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-46254587979836283942009-06-27T00:12:00.064-05:002009-06-28T00:37:25.356-05:00MiG Ayesa: Rockin' Good Time with Queen and FansMiG Ayesa rocked the night away with Queen when he starred in We Will Rock You on the Asia Pacific Tour and on London's West End. Now MiG Ayesa is gearing up for the QUEEN Symphonic Spectacular - a series of shows MiG will star in throughout the UK in July, August and September. The events match the brilliant music of Queen with the exquisite voices of MiG, other West End standout performers from We Will Rock You, a first-class orchestra, and in some shows a rock band.

Fans can see MiG and experience these performances at some picturesque locations - Alnwick Castle on July 18, Mercedes-Benz World on August 1, Broadlands on August 15, Castle Howard on August 21, and Harewood House on September 4. For more details, go to mig-music.com, click on the home page image, and visit the Tour page.

Some MiG Ayesa fans in the United Kingdom had a taste of this musical fare at two shows in Bournemouth in May. Like similar performances in 2008, the QUEEN Symphonic Spectacular offered epic arrangements and peak performances, and was enthusiastically received. Who can resist Bohemian Rhapsody, Who Wants to Live Forever, and We Will Rock You - especially when the songs are sung and played with the full approval of the band that created them?

A candid shot at the Bournemouth show - photo by Wend
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 325px; height: 362px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLiC5ZguqHId_jrpBX1jU6rSAQ25p-s0rsL7QlnCAGidNg2_fDpsCeOecd0DRSSLrkGk2yVoswqZVKtdrC3UtWRoAGqYpT1sOisX4Lcuds96rtVKYvfnsPuecaB9DO6bX_vZ1xZvhJTCBD/s400/WEND+MiG+in+UK+Queen+Spectacular+5B.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351879759196726194" />

MiG in his element at the Queen Symphonic Spectacular - photo by Wend
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 333px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhseZX03SNOHPlJyUJmomKWZFoZn6tQ3M54naJPzj2-YCH_F5_lKyyKtjvIhEwzTx5htYi3PWvgO4MCTf0_13zQxuVKen6jaI_pRcxkGyFVoXLNnbRZ4rwIsoAznLTFewzk8OShv9NEy4a9/s400/WEND+MiG+in+UK+Queen+Spectacular+2009+3B.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351879354170527986" />

The music was sublime in Bournemouth, and another highlight was the Meet & Greet with MiG in his dressing room. MiG Ayesa recently recorded tracks at Bryan Adams' studio in Vancouver, Canada, has regular gigs at Eight Mile Creek in New York, and will be traveling to the United Kingdom in mid-May. While in the UK, MiG will take a prominent place on stage for the Queen Symphonic Spectacular in Bournemouth on May 15 and 16.

All of these activities and events are reasons for MiG to be excited - but it doesn't end there. MiG signed a cool partnership deal with 42 Below and the Brat Agency. The Brat Agency has shown fresh, innovative ideas and a spunk and style all its own. As for 42 Below, it can really pack a punch and make an impact - in more ways than one. The partnership, or "rock and roll cocktail" as they call it, has the potential to make a big splash on the music scene.

MiG rocks the house
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 330px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhntQSew-eUvvAT6afFnQwP1tpnrmcFXU0BhehrCsE4Uq5A1crPmS5YisHWBC49TE2JVmR4ED0kg_4clLpP5KPeMf5K1ojntS7ITq3UFUgvAt6zeO-ZxEvi_nVH0lto3uyw9CPqbSQrxWAg/s400/Mkt+Days+K+Paint+It+Black+for+Blog.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328843131469304786" />

MiG Ayesa brings something to the table that turns heads - a gorgeous voice, versatility and a special ability to connect with people. On numerous occasions, people who were diehard fans of other artists came to see MiG perform, met him, and suddenly put MiG at the top of their list of favorite artists. He makes quite an impression. MiG doesn't care what people look like, how old or young they are, or what they wear. He reaches people. That gift is no less impressive than the musical ability he was given. The gifts are so intertwined that it's impossible to separate the two, and it would be wrong to try. Whether MiG is belting out pedal to the medal rock and roll, delivering a shot of alternative rock, or ripping your heart out with a deep and expressive ballad, you know when he gets off stage he's going to be a guy who deserves your undying loyalty.

MiG has worked with a lot of talented people, from Brian May of Queen to Matthew Wilder, from Paul Buckmaster to Peter Frampton, just to name a few. A lot of great things have come from those relationships. One was MiG's starring role in the wildly popular We Will Rock You. Another is a fabulous debut album (Universal/Decca), "MiG," that's a thing of beauty. Beautiful voice, beautiful interpretation, beautiful arrangements. If you don't yet have it, I highly recommend it. It's the perfect introduction to getting to know MiG, and experiencing the twist and flavor he adds to classic songs. Then you'll be able to better appreciate the personality that will be coming through as he ventures into his original creations. You can get the CD from MiG's Store at mig-music.com.

For MiG, the sky's the limit
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 273px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2zX6L3CqhfMR_IqcYZQqBhbSDmZECDK9ZcaoNdVWjKZX9aohwlcqfmCbAYI96kV5ZEniP23uBtCE6JjhKm9N9NIxlmus1hs6UFsCYBq0dt7vupUdwJBiT7lM8Ruw2VdyIw3sCpXnSiJ-9/s400/MiG+Pic+Arms+Wide+JVD_edited-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328845867051493938" />

There's certainly an array of exceptional accomplishments for MiG to build on. If he remains true to the person he is, the sky's the limit. It appears 42 Below and the Brat Agency recognize MiG's potential, and it will be a terrific mix. It's going to be one refreshing "rock and roll cocktail" that creates quite a buzz.

This is an exciting opportunity for MiG to shine. At the right time, one's dreams can grow from unrealistic, to realistic, to realized, and something tells me MiG is close to realizing his dreams. Things have a way of working out when you let go and believe.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Team MiG

Team MiG Global, LLCTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-57055181910975740992009-04-10T10:28:00.032-05:002009-04-10T17:38:12.869-05:00MiG Ayesa: Star QualitiesMiG Ayesa has experienced a wealth of sparkling moments in his music career. He has performed for a worldwide TV audience, filled auditoriums for We Will Rock You, and mesmerized live crowds with his original songs.

Even with all of MiG Ayesa's impressive achievements, some may think he isn't yet a "star." There are those who define a star as someone who makes millions of dollars in the entertainment industry. Others say it's someone with an enormous fan base. Still others would argue it's someone with expensive clothes and jewelry.

I view it differently. To me, five qualities make a true star...

1. A star has blazing talent.
MiG has an incredibly beautiful voice that stands on its own. One moment he can rock you to the core, and the next sing a touching ballad that makes your eyes well up with tears. And MiG's gifts for playing the keyboard and songwriting make for a powerful combination.

2. A star has an endless glow.
It comes from within, because through the arts one can express feelings, thoughts and experiences that words sometimes can't convey. There's a passion MiG has for music and performing that's a joy to see. It warms everyone around him.

3. A star illuminates even the darkest of nights.
When an artist has integrity and feels what he's singing, you can open your heart to the words and melodies. So many people have found MiG and his original music to be a source of healing and hope. When you meet him, you'll know what I mean.

4. A star never stops reaching to light a new corner of the sky.
A key to new discovery is exploring boundaries and stretching the limits of talent and ability. No matter how big a star gets, understanding that there's always more to learn leads to unimagined new heights. MiG has collaborated with other artists, tried new things, and continues to build on his talents.

5. A star shines the brightest when the world isn't watching.
The most brilliant display of the night sky appears when the world sleeps, and it's the same with people. Those in the limelight may smile when there's a camera in sight, but how they relate to people one-on-one reveals their character. A star realizes that behind every clap and cheer is a living, beating heart much like his own. MiG has made each person he's met feel special. The smile is genuine, the hug heartfelt.

Connecting in Chicago - photo by Cammy D.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3rsoHVVsxzGN7UwsNvbVQe__Cs-Kt9sp3QwuJj1Ys-JPh2qd3HMxW25bxbW-ILEJc7BxuTDwAuVCA8PMONXk-G8wWw5XkM3Wb9TAKDDpJDY1TuTISbc3V-Nf9JxOIkZKQ0heC5X4467r/s400/MiG+in+Chicago+by+Cammy+clearer+Kay.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323186718130272562" />

Spending time together before the show - photo by Mary Beth
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 279px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAoTrS5kCGw5mH4I4b0tzQhG5SAONoBpZCbPdyBTVaqcKwnafMxoJw5LxjPHGnPePvW3BbUrA-Xl9vfORg26WHn28ui0rC6oOCcjW4jmtW9MTfO4z9F7iMPR9Et5ZnQ82uENHvom97JquR/s400/MB+maybe+MIG+at+McCarthys.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323187372335955570" />

In every way that really matters, MiG is already a star. But is that what true success really means? No - a very loud, emphatic, and resounding no.

Sometimes an artist doesn't find himself on the expressway to stardom he mapped out for himself, but instead on the scenic route. It may seem like a colossal wrong turn that adds time to the trip, but in reality it's the perfect road. Instead of speeding along on a straight highway, and seeing nothing but the car ahead, the scenic route offers snow-capped mountain peaks, blankets of white sand beaches, and skies painted with dazzling sunsets.

Beauty lives on the scenic route, from the freedom to enjoy solitude without a bodyguard, to being able to look into the eyes of people you've touched with your kind nature and original music. There are artists who don't have the freedom to go where they want without being chased down by photographers, and who never get the chance to see and feel how they touch others. MiG has those chances. He has touched numerous lives by signing every autograph, talking to every person who has waited to see him after a show, and treating people with respect and warmth.

Signing an autograph
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 326px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2OvlrsTGoOw065gxpNyCfasxNnLuLED8V-Rg0uvYoF0GaYyPtF2WsgAQrFZrRVxoPDCo4nCRRMJvmtgcKDlsp6v7VbyTzxEoSgdjlWm2PkwyI_tj2uJttpl4NVw0tsRFwQXNF49jU3fsk/s400/MiG+Signing+K+NY.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318490198733255906" />

Relating to the audience - photo by Cammy
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 313px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFaT4CdUJX6rIN1gx7FS6gxRsm9ZTxDoSGwkkDlwggDlZoagy4vkUgul-luWDlfvm2hSQOy_5YiM0AL8PI7D8wN-_yIJIYU8nxWYr7bkaTn8gqQS4mDeIZVZyB8ECNL5x4N1ZGSY0M3GTO/s400/MiG+NY+Cammy+tilt.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318495911137482146" />

Because of those actions, the remarkable music MiG has created has had more of an impact. Music that comes from the heart has even more power to touch people and make a difference, but people have to know the heart first.

Many have come to know MiG's heart. That's why he has so many people behind him. They believe in MiG's talent, and they believe in MiG. And many truly love MiG for the person he is, not because he's been on TV, or his name has been in lights. Some artists will never experience that kind of passion and support - a driving, never-say-die attitude that will make MiG's successes even sweeter.

Putting his heart into a song at Eight Mile Creek in New York
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 309px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIFzYraycGYB9vF6WYVRcp3vImppYe5asiaQkIq43te9MHvFgtLC0cQ8mHHRnp-KULn__KQyFp-TbUAe7giCpLKMhmTE0VZShnRQUCjc3LyGCJVBSyjT5X4YLknmoWeYmcc4GfTX7DKt4h/s400/8+Mile+Kay+IMG_3502.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318497846936847826" />

The expressway and the scenic route both reach the same destination. The secret is to recognize all the beautiful views that are found on the journey. There will be bumps and roads paved with broken promises, but over every horizon another panoramic view awaits. When MiG reaches the destination he so deserves, many of the people he's shared his heart with along the way will be there celebrating with him.

Keep the light shining, and pass it on.

Team MiGTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-16490095511149128142009-03-10T23:58:00.032-05:002009-03-11T01:32:12.487-05:00MiG Ayesa: What We NeedWhen MiG Ayesa is rockin' and rollin', he makes hearts race and energy levels soar into the stratosphere. Audiences who saw MiG belt out the songs of Queen in We Will Rock You can attest to that fact, and throngs of viewers of CBS's Rockstar: INXS would agree MiG Ayesa commanded the stage in convincing style. There's a more mellow side of MiG too, and both styles have the spellbinding power to help you escape your cares and lose yourself in the music.

Sometimes losing yourself for a while is what you need most. Music can be soothing, it can lift you up and give you strength to face tomorrow. When an artist sings with passion and feels the words he's singing, the music can touch you, change you. The words and notes MiG Ayesa weaves together flow into the deepest and most empty parts of your soul, and refresh it like a spring rain. Even if in a small way, you're a better person after hearing it. It gives you hope, which you in turn will give others through your attitude and the choices you make. It reminds you that things are better than they seemed yesterday.

I went to see MiG perform at Eight Mile Creek in New York City several days ago, and was so touched by the person he is and by his performance. I've seen him on numerous occasions, and every time he seems more special. MiG has an incredible voice that is most impressive without the frills and masking of backup vocals or heavy instrumentals that many artists need. His voice stands on its own and captures you. MiG is genuine, a kind and loving person who deserves to be on a stage with millions watching every night. On this night MiG was in an intimate setting, and everyone in the full house was fortunate to experience it. He has a unique gift for connecting with people.

Music from the Soul
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 288px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7OTbppXsNP_4-ZFa0PpG7kQKg3wDg79np4p4TgxnfHMT_3IBV1jHtC11ju7nyM7LwPEniqOXM7YoP17sodMnrkhUFr_MHflHhK6nuUf614gU8KoMdrINDvKx_GAoScwMLJh4NWjWakRrE/s400/TM+Blog+Kay+IMG_3436.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311796570490717554" />

MiG Coaxing the Keys
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 323px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcrFL4kHsqv19769qED5_o6_C5z3HqtWvIlSaH6xcxsEJumo-RACbXQp5TO41ej_GX-XmaP8G6NfqPSpjPr0RVvnI-NX4lZ9TQZanjQt6j2g5meLlk9OUZtgRoGv3uL_MrK4vxsam9n6o1/s400/TM+Blog+IMG+3389+Kay.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311798594905701810" />

The combination of MiG's unlimited talent, a giving heart and a great sense of humor made for an unforgettable night. They would've been impressed, because MiG is a professional, and he puts so much into every song he sings. Every song was fabulous. Yet the biggest treasures of the evening were MiG Ayesa originals. The consensus by reviewers and fans on MiG's first album was that the originals were outstanding. That hasn't changed. We need an album of MiG originals. Whether it was Blown Away, I'm On My Way, She Loved, or others, they were beautiful. I could hear them a hundred times, and it still wouldn't be enough. There's something about MiG giving you a glimpse into his soul through his own creations. Maybe it's hard to see because there are so few artists who can do it. Some labels want an easy buck and follow the same tired old formula...others may see things as they could be and invest their dollars and experience into becoming a label that discovered what others may not have seen. One thing we need in today's world is an artist with class and sincerity we can believe in, who has the ability to communicate a belief in tomorrow and a love in today through his music and his personality. The world is longing for it. Every day, more people are realizing that man is MiG Ayesa. He's unique, and he's relevant. There's the MiG Ayesa who rocked the lights out with his portrayal of Galileo in Ben Elton and Queen's We Will Rock You. There's also the MiG Ayesa who handled classic rock songs with energy and ease on the CBS reality show Rockstar: INXS. MiG Ayesa has the musical talent, creativity and stage presence to make just about any song sizzle. Rock and roll seems effortless for MiG, yet he surely packs a punch.

MiG rocking the house in We Will Rock You - photo by Donald Chin
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 352px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRoYKK9uRKMGUcVwMpHwsZaqjcSHXpJzDMp5X_Uz9SCBNGvPzzlApgtksPi20CPjHie6LIAJ64vj99H64JoDnqMydHflYcqk90BlmBmE4qykiBNrp59h6tGyHAFpouwMA5uVHe0NxopWPe/s400/MiG+WWRY+Belt+It+Out+Fuchsia+Donald+Chin+375+pix.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300304553087463394" />

MiG excels at these styles, yet there's another MiG Ayesa...the man who has a style all his own. You see it when you hear an original song from MiG's debut album. You also see it when you watch his "She Loved" video on YouTube or MTV Asia. You can't help but see it when you catch a live MiG performance.

When MiG Ayesa sings his heart out for an audience, he really does sing his heart out. There's so much of him in the words and notes. MiG shares it all with you. I marvel at how he can maintain a style that's so appealing and unique, and still create song after song that's fresh and intriguing. They're all so different, yet similar in style.

Expression - photo by Cammy D.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUlLLXnzj7npVhVOJN4oS86aPQtJ5Narnsav5wh9HbNI83szleOMDYXvIsNhJnMgfP1rdZCQvMNNq93Q5aq1UKiLHZxOeX8L_4oiAcVvttGFq_rvbHBn8_Tem4b1VvjcfrOc9DxTmU8tTc/s400/Chicago+Cammy+355+K+smaller.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300304991824881266" />

Perhaps MiG's style especially connects with others because there's a vulnerability about it. His voice is so true, so open, without being masked by loud music, boisterous back-up singers or gimmicks. He exposes every note for all to hear. As if that's not enough to embrace, MiG opens a window to his soul with lyrics and melodies that express his feelings about life and love. That kind of vulnerability is irresistible and lasting. I want to feel music, not only hear it. I also want to trust that an artist is genuine and sincere, and not simply "singing at" the audience. One can feel the difference. When the artist adds good humor and connects with those listening, it all comes together for a magic experience.

A Light Moment - photo by Kay
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 306px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8Ng8BaDzYQLXlKh7HuHaxcL2TKbrTDD6tTAzAswi-1kQgcfpibYx-Glu42lvWQOvsV2RJWlKRA7vTGHKkzi2Ak0CaoJb98gkNjqAMzDvomLRvK_iQikrVEZEeAcOj2Ae8s9WxefpKQMF1/s400/3rd+C+Kay+Whew+500+pix.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300306025954230770" />

The MiG Ayesa we know, with his warmth and winning style, will be performing Thursday nights at Eight Mile Creek in Soho, New York City beginning February 12 at 7:30 p.m. It will be intimate, moving and memorable. There isn't a better type of venue to experience all MiG Ayesa's style has to give. It will be just you, MiG, and the music. If you're ready for a great voice and sensational music that makes you feel something, don't miss it. You may meet some new friends there from Team MiG who traveled from throughout the U.S. and Canada, because we can't bear to miss out on too many chances to see MiG and enjoy his very special style. And MiG Ayesa didn't stop there...he turned heads with his respect for fellow rockers and a charm that should be illegal. MiG made one great impression after another. It's a tall order to choose the best of the best. Yet since we're on the subject, I'll give it a whirl. Behold my view of MiG Ayesa's Top 10 Rockstar Moments. Some may surprise you...

#10 - Expecting to be in the Bottom 3
As the show neared its completion and the remaining rockers were asked if they thought they were in the Bottom 3, MiG raised his hand. It seemed extremely unlikely that would happen, and it didn't, but MiG's humility was touching.

#9 - Sharing the Spotlight with Marty and Jordis
It was MiG Ayesa Day after MiG performed Baby, I Love Your Way, and he earned the encore. When MiG took a seat at the piano and started to play, he stopped and asked the ultra-talented Marty Casey and Jordis Unga to join him. They had given excellent performances, and MiG was more interested in celebrating their accomplishments than in stomping out the competition.

#8 - What You Need
When MiG got his shot at singing an INXS song after finally hitting the Bottom 3 (when only 4 rockers remained), he nailed it. That was worth waiting for! MiG laid it on the line, and then raised the roof.

#7 - Need You Tonight
All who got to hear the audio of MiG's Need You Tonight can count themselves among the lucky. It was one steamy song. I can't imagine it being sung any better. Of all the INXS songs MiG has sung on the show or live, that one will always be my favorite.

#6 - Paint It Black
Although Paint It Black is a classic, MiG's arrangement was incredibly interesting and creative. To me it was more dramatic and he uncovered layers of the song I hadn't noticed before. When he extended his arms to the side and the music stopped mid-song, it took my breath away.

#5 - All Right Now
I've always liked this song, but never as much as when MiG Ayesa sang it. That night I thought MiG had it all...the voice, the energy, the moves, the stage presence. He commanded the song, and has every time he has sung it since.

All Right Now from atop a chair - Chicago
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 328px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDQRb4yaC6cs7lXlsKWs1cDTgcrs-5RElmiUwWY1g39fB8EB2Qq5bw7j_mA8NFGZJx5LLAwMdnzvb9txy9AHUMwSjJOYjmgqDs3V_5VoezDv3RPSepP-dLmwQKcU7gfM2zUPr1vyxXb7e-/s400/All+Right+Now+Chicago+MiG+3-07.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297734434504822994" />

#4 - Baby, I Love Your Way
MiG knocked it out of the park with his rendition of the Peter Frampton song. MiG combined a beautiful arrangement and dazzling vocals as he played the grand piano and brought tears to the eyes of those listening. Peter Frampton even called MiG to tell him how impressed he was.

#3 - Home In Me
MiG has questioned his decision to sing Home In Me rather than a more upbeat original. INXS had likely already made up their mind they wanted a bad boy, so the song choice didn't matter. What did matter was the comfort Home In Me brought. Although the song is about loss, it continues to give hope and comfort. The effect of the song lives on. It was the perfect choice.

#2 - Lola
The song had appeal, but when MiG sang it, it suddenly had some sizzle. It was the first episode of Rockstar: INXS I had seen, and it offered quite an introduction to a man named MiG Ayesa. It was a standout performance, and MiG served notice he was a rocker to be reckoned with.

Singing Lola in New York - photo by Wanda
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 345px; height: 388px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheb93E8SVt-m9W6z7NdlnOewRyo5iyEspoIDzH_pVPnQg9MWjOxwuil0kFXtlRp2TiaLfv8KQjs9SzAdxGpLT0OqITwcEi-sBD1r4YyuGDyK3Nz9DEWiJcucaTPHzUp8KkkYqJGaJuJ8w0/s400/Lola+in+NY+Wanda.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5297734976349180770" />

#1 - Bohemian Rhapsody
There were shockwaves when it was revealed MiG had decided to sing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Some were concerned INXS would dismiss MiG as a "theater guy" since he had sung the song in We Will Rock You. I was ecstatic. To me, someone who has performed in theater and in bands is "on" every night, knows how to deliver to a crowd, and is a consistently great performer. MiG's choice of Bohemian Rhapsody was the ultimate show of strength. He selected a song he loved, and it made a statement - "I'm MiG Ayesa. I'm not going to lie, manipulate or play games to win. This is where I've been, and this is who I am."

INXS didn't choose MiG. We did.

Keep the light shining,

Team MiGTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-61324015215629188392009-01-16T21:00:00.049-06:002009-01-19T00:06:51.419-06:00MiG Ayesa: More Than WordsThe list of artists I want to see perform at least once is a long one, but the list of artists I want to see perform every chance I get is short. It's no surprise the name that tops the list of those I want to see often is MiG Ayesa. So what is it about MiG Ayesa's performances that keep him at such lofty heights on the list? And what is it about MiG Ayesa's personality that makes his gigs something you never want to miss?

One of the best ways to explain may be to give an example. A few days ago, MiG did a short set in Bergenfield, New Jersey with Hotdog Band. A number of people from Team MiG went to the gig...some even traveling from other states. They had a fabulous time - because of MiG's performance and personality. MiG sang mostly his original songs, including She Loved, One Sunset at a Time, Blown Away and I Need You Here, which thrilled the Team MiG crew. MiG's originals have a combination of meaningful lyrics and creative melodies, and he delivered every song with such emotion and feeling. MiG also delighted the crowd when he teamed up with Kim Bargamento to sing More Than Words. You can see a video of their duet on Team MiG Global's YouTube Channel.

Sound Check with MiG Ayesa (photo by Donna)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 250px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhggxRpYQKj3O_IpGdNOnIQc_tpYe-eYrwcy2qCTxtETjgNDM700zAssMxrozk9NoFN29M8qUxHZnKiTButTL7nXGa0qJB8MtHDCIKK9juJvV-ioVVlu_4WbVvurfvnegFysZHf-T9n5kAH/s320/MiG+Hand+Surf+NJ+Donna_cropped.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292857584657077906" />

MiG at the Mic (photo by Wanda)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 239px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgazPHSwGG3Cu28HUdRJe-dEkguIHRk2HNH1lFVgjYpWxC9Xlr3rYnLSuI75ecyRWkTlLnlY_XMczWX_uaxP8I6ov_DYwMMMsYjXUk_4GZiNAGxQlwmZQf9lTMv64_Vn9PmVzD5mNczjrn_/s320/MiG+Singing+Profile+NJ+Wanda_cropped_final.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292861194830110626" />

The music stopped the Team MiG crew in their tracks, but they were completely floored by how kind and down-to-earth MiG was. MiG's nature is truly his greatest strength. It's ironic that the more gentle he is, the more power he has to make a difference in others' lives. MiG has always taken time to talk with people, sign autographs and pose with them for pictures. In fact, he sometimes checks the picture to make sure it turned out and will be a nice memento! The Team MiG contingent chatted and joked with MiG, and took photos throughout the evening.

MiG Ayesa Singing His Heart Out (photo by Donna)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 304px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbXsxYPHGpTw3eU8qy84aeFEIe8bRKrHgxHl62jtlsHs8zuo3GUFBhHCUIuyy8B6ZYPCehT3Pmz-QotN9OAytPUV759eKTPn7Oanm2l4D0nuGcoSG9DKmNeWYOjH4jh7nZlD7VCqU_F3Ng/s320/MiG+Singing+3-4+NJ+Donna+final.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292860815260828018" />

MiG Ayesa Lighting Up the Room (photo by Wanda)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 335px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihbxnhCp3xRflmvGa6bOK4oM2bhxsL1HsP8j5gjQT0DvAvrLmMwZiQjM8uEUztZvCkeqX5YBjyVGVMe_vgCIgkpnfiPuvbbyEon0xsBYmNHxvrkcTg-Fmh1LIAgBEQXBe_3SULBIWyAXw1/s400/MiG+Smiling+Hands+in+Pockets+NJ+Wanda_for+Blog_crop+edit.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5292866243044756930" />

By the time the evening ended, they were already talking about the next performance. They looked forward to another gig, and to spending time with someone they genuinely care about. And you can bet MiG will be the same next time. It's rare to have a connection between an artist and his fans that's so special and lasting. Maybe it's because fans have a deep admiration, respect and love for someone who sincerely returns those sentiments. It has to be more than words.

Keep the light shining and pass it on,

Team MiGTeam MiGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16263246486312308767noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369803718910927454.post-48979915189763568532009-01-06T23:42:00.027-06:002009-01-07T01:29:34.433-06:00MiG Ayesa: ReflectionsAs one year fades away and another has burst on the scene, it's the ideal time for reflection. Today that reflection centers on MiG Ayesa. Looking back, MiG won a legion of fans when he was in bands, in shows, in We Will Rock You, and on the CBS reality show Rockstar: INXS. I remember the first time I saw MiG, which was when he sang "Lola" on Rockstar: INXS. He was quite the show-stopper! He followed it up with one killer performance after another. The votes poured in for MiG week after week, and he earned his way to the Final Three.

On Rockstar, MiG's talent was undeniable, his stage presence and versatility unmistakable. But there was something else...something that grabbed people and wouldn't let them go. Here was an immensely talented artist, separated from family and friends, alone in a new country, getting very little sleep and performing on a world stage. And what did MiG do? In spite of the pressure, he stayed true to himself. MiG Ayesa had the courage and class to pat his competition on the back rather than stab them in the back. He didn't try to win at any cost. He chose to treat both rockers and fans with warmth and integrity. Perhaps that didn't make enough waves for some reality TV junkies, but it made a tidal wave of an impression on many in the TV audience. There was no bigger winner than MiG.

MiG gained countless fans after Rockstar just by being himself. He connected with every audience, took time for every fan, and treated everyone at gigs like they mattered. That's the way people should be treated, but that behavior isn't something you often see from an artist who has graced our stages and screens. No one creates talent, but is blessed with it. It can be nurtured and developed through hard work, but it's not created. Some forget that, and it leads to egos on overdrive. When an artist treats fans like real people, it's refreshing because it's classy, it's humble, and it makes a very special connection that lasts. When MiG treats fans with respect and kindness, it reflects back on him, because it inspires genuine affection, loyalty, and a passion to tell others about MiG. When you combine that with his incredible voice and the beautiful music he creates, it's magic. It makes MiG stand head and shoulders above so many others, and is a story waiting to be told.

MiG signing autographs for fans at a meet & greet session.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxc31xTT0USs-4heB7NUIgWCZ6SziWrvKKrMakuFsuBhQTev_jP_AJeKPWmtVfHg2F5Zp0oueTjMPPNQTrDdj4a89pWH0sAN-XnvrJ_LCT96oAStPX3d0D2EkaRBtFQGjzXW6n_isXNGb/s320/MiG+Houston+Signing+Autographs+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288435802308052994" />

MiG sharing a laugh with fans.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 247px; height: 290px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNHIJKdl8W9r_Y925vyto6L7joFjhEUTAzbefQFxFYhpT1qhpqSFvxNvKB8bk0ApH3bMfklolGpZQ8ZWVIeTa9qsQECnENY9-LBBOIceV759_UP9s1FsP41PGEv6O_cHARK1LtDwJK40OE/s320/MiG+Houston+Signing+Autographs+2x.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5288435994675847442" />

When one makes such an impact on others through warmth and accessibility, it brings a lot of responsibility. It's challenging to always be on your game, in spite of disappointments or misunderstandings that can occur. No one can always say the perfect thing, or always do the perfect thing. But I believe MiG will give it his best try. When MiG shares his heart, he shines the brightest. It brings out the light in others as well, and the impact grows and grows. An interesting thing about light...its radiance reaches in all directions, illuminating even the unlikeliest of destinations...and when you reflect it back, darkness has nowhere to hide.

Because of the person and artist MiG is, fans travel hundreds of miles to see him perform. In fact, some will be traveling to see MiG do a short set January 16 in New Jersey as a special guest of HotDog Band. If you can get there, don't miss it! You'll see firsthand why Team MiG cares so much about MiG, and puts so much into spreading the word to the world.
